Front brings higher rain chance today

Updated:
A slow-moving front will push south into the Tampa Bay area today. Along that front, we'll see scattered showers and more clouds. The rain will start in Citrus and Hernando county early this morning. As the day progresses, the rain will push farther south toward I-4. Coastal areas will also see scattered showers roll in from the Gulf of Mexico. Highs will generally be in the upper 80s. In southern areas that will see more sunshine, temperatures will climb into the low 90s.

The front continues to make its way through our area tonight, so a few showers will linger. Lows will be in the low to mid 70s. With the front still around tomorrow, the rain chance stays high at 50%. It will be slightly cooler tomorrow because of the clouds and rain. Expect highs in the mid to upper 80s. Drier air arrives for Thursday.Download the WFLA news app today. It's FREE http://8.wfla.com/1etbepy
