Those are the words the family of 24-year-old Destynee Burkes use to describe the out-going young woman, murdered in room 120 of the "La Quinta Inn" some time Monday afternoon.
"it's just can't get over it right now. It's hard to even imagine. This is a hard hard day for me" said Destynee's father, Tyrone Burkes.
Destynee's relatives don't know why she was at the motel. The do say she was there with a boyfriend, and she struggled with somebody.
Security cameras line the walkways and may be part of the investigation. Fingerprint dust is evident on the front door.
"It's hard. Ya know, I don't understand. I just need to know what happened" said the victim's Grandmother, Fannie Burkes.
Pinellas deputies aren't saying much about this case, other than, they are working several leads from witnesses and evidence taken from the scene.
The victim's family wants her killer caught.
