A woman is recovering this morning after being shot during a St. Petersburg New Year's Eve celebration.
Laurie Eberhardt, 67, was standing on a balcony at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club when she felt something hit her right wrist and then noticed she was bleeding, police said.
Eberhardt was taken to the hospital where she was treated and released.
The incident is being investigated as a case of celebratory gunfire, police said.
No word on any suspects.
