Gustavo Ruiz, charged with Sexual BatteryDetectives with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office have arrested Gustavo Ruiz, saying he sexually molested the same female child over a period of eight years.
Investigators say the child confided in her mother about the abuse. Detectives charged Ruiz with Capitol Sexual Battery, and Sexual Battery by Familial Custodial.
Authorities believe Ruiz produced, possessed and transmitted child pornography. Deputies gathered evidence from Ruiz's home on Holly Tree Lane in Brandon, including his computer, cell phones, laptops, USB cards, and cameras. Forensic investigators will examine the equipment.
