Some lucky kids had the chance today to paint alongside a pachyderm Friday, at the Glazer Children's Museum in downtown Tampa.

50 children were selected to create some art, along with Kelly Anne, a 16 year old Asian elephant from the Ringling Brothers Circus.

"She channeled her inner child today," said Melinda Hartline, spokesperson for the Ringling Brothers Circus. "She's in her blue and green phase today, as far as her color choices."

Many of the paintings created today will go on display inside the museum.

After the painting event, children and parents were invited inside the museum to take part in CircusFit.  The youth fitness program, run by Ringling Bros., emphasizes the importance of active lifestyles.

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus will be performing in Tampa from January 2-6, 2013.
