Josh Green has been a reporter for News Channel 8 since August 2010. He came to Tampa Bay from WFLA's sister station in Raleigh, NC.
Josh is a Louisiana native. He started his first job in TV at the young age of 16 when KALB-TV in Alexandria selected him to be a teen reporter in high school. After he graduated from Northwestern State University he returned home to work full-time at KALB. Since then, he's made moves to WJHL-TV in east Tennessee and WNCN-TV in Raleigh.
He's covered some of the most historic moments during this last decade in news: From the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to the heartbreak following the shootings at Virginia Tech.
Josh won an Edward R. Murrow award for a documentary he wrote, produced and edited about World War II veterans. The Association for Military Editors & Reporters has also recognized him for his work.
Josh is an avid outdoorsman and when he's not on-air you can find him outside exploring and trying his best to compete with the Bay area's triathletes.
