The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for two men who are considered persons of interest in a hit-and-run incident that left a 46-year-old woman dead.
Jamie Dawn Patterson was killed around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night when she was hit by a vehicle on US 19, just south of State Road 52 in Pasco County.
According to a report, Patterson had entered the driver's path before she was fatally struck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Before troopers could arrive, authorities said the driver of a black car left the scene, heading eastbound on State Road 52.
The vehicle was described as a late model, four-door sedan with tinted windows. Troopers said there may be a silver pinstripe along the side of the vehicle.
Surveillance images released by the Florida Highway Patrol show two men considered persons of interests in the case. Troopers said both men were seen leaving the Brass Flamingo and entering into a Tuxedo Black Ford Taurus Limited right before the incident.
Those with information on their identities should call the Florida Highway Patrol at 813-558-1800 or Crime Stoppers at 800-873-TIPS.
