Tampa 7-year-old receives new dirt bike days after crook steals his from shed

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - When 7-year-old Torrence Blake. Jr. opened his dad's shed door on Thursday, he couldn't believe his eyes.

Days after his own dirt bike was stolen, Torrence opened the shed to find a shiny, new neon green Kawasaki dirt bike.

It was gift from radio host Bubba the Love Sponge and Lakeland-based Fun Bike Center.

"It's amazing what the community stepped up and did for him," said his father, Torrence Sr. "Words can't even express the feeling for today."

Torrence Sr. told us on Monday that someone had broken into the shed and stole his son's dirt bike.

Torrence Sr. worked hard to save enough money to buy the bike for his son for Christmas.

They were heartbroken about the loss.

Hearts are now on the mend, thanks to some kind-hearted folks.

Torrence Jr. is back on the bike, doing what he enjoys most.

"Really happy!" he said, before jumping back on two wheels.
