Keith Cate

Keith Cate co-anchors the 5, 5:30, 6 and 11 o’clock evening news.

His award winning reporting has spanned 25-years and has taken him across the country and around the world… including stops in Brazil, Cuba, Germany, France, Spain and the Former Soviet Union. Keith began his broadcasting career in 1983 in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Prior to making the move to Tampa in 2000, Keith worked for television stations in Columbus Ohio, Baltimore Maryland and Birmingham Alabama. Keith has earned many professional honors for his investigative reporting and anchoring including four Edward R. Murrow Awards and 13-Regional Emmy Awards. He is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communication.

Keith and his wife Paula live in Tampa and have three children.
